Hi, I’m Gail, founder & designer 

Welcome to my little corner of the world, I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a proud South African woman, and my family and I are lucky to call the beautiful coastal town of Gordon’s Bay in the Western Cape our home. This place, with its ocean breeze and mountain views, fills my soul and often inspires my work.

I’ve always been drawn to beauty, especially the kind that tells a story: Antiques, weathered wood, timeless design, and soulful art. I drink way too much coffee (and I’m okay with that), I enjoy yoga, and I treasure every moment I get to make memories with my kids. Family is everything to me, and I count my blessings every single day.

My creative journey started early: I began crafting at 15, studied Interior Design, and dreamed of a life where I could express myself freely, create beautiful things, and maybe even colour outside the lines a little. For years, I worked full-time while building my dream after hours. In early 2022, I finally took the leap and became the full-time owner and creator and what a ride it’s been! Rewarding, challenging, humbling, and absolutely worth it.

I’m a self-taught artist with an endless curiosity and a hunger to keep learning. I love trying new techniques, exploring new styles, and growing my offering, as I strive to stay true to what I love. My work blends my passion for vintage with a modern eye. Even the most contemporary pieces often carry a whisper from the past, a nod to the charm and character of yesteryear.

Sublime Style and Décor has always been more than just a brand. It’s an extension of me, a space where I bring together all the things I love and share them with you. I didn’t want to limit myself to just one creative path, so I built a home for them all under one name.

 Recently I've gone through some changes, since my brand has always been about my personal loves, about growth and embracing its natural evolution I've decided that it was time to change the name from Sublime Style and Décor to Gail Marra Design Studio. Whether it’s art, interiors, styling, or décor, every piece I create is made with heart and a whole lot of soul.

I hope you will embrace the changes and continue to be a part of my journey. It means more to me than words can say.
